If you are looking for a way to get involved and make an impact, then becoming a Host is the way to do it. Here at Parkside, we don't call those who are new to our church service "visitors," as if they are some kind of alien. To us, they are not visitors from some outside world; to us they are guests. That is why our Host Team is one of the best ways for you to get involved. When someone comes as a guest to our church service, we must assume that they don't know anything about how we as a family operate or where things are located. So that is where the Host comes in! Within moments of being greeted, the Host and guests are connected. It is the job of the Host to let our guests in on everything, such as: where the bathrooms are, where to check their kids in, where to find a cup of coffee, and what to expect in the service. Hosts treat the new family as though they are their own guest. If you're not sure if you're prepared to join this team, don't worry, because we will train you and set you up for sucess. If you can recall the first time you came to Parkside and how hard it was to get up, get ready, get in the car, drive to the church, make that walk across the parking lot to the doors, walk into an unknown service, not know a person in the room, or what to expect, or where to go.....then I am sure that you will understand the importance of the Host Team here at Parkside!
